Subluxation Station

At Breath of Life Chiropractic we use technology that allows us to get a snapshot of what is happening within the nervous system of each individual practice member. The scans are completely painless and perfectly safe during pregnancy and for children. The different technology scans give us (and you) an objective assessment of how your nervous system is functioning, and how Dr. Shae can best help you and your children.

Heart Rate Variability Scan

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is the beat-to-beat variation in heart rate. This natural rise and fall of the heart rate is caused by several physiologic phenomena, including breathing and autonomic nervous system activity. Chiropractic doctors use HRV to get a picture into how the autonomic nervous system (ANS) modulates heart rate, and how you, as the practice member, recover from daily stress. Published research has demonstrated that chiropractic adjustments have favorable effects on HRV parameters.

Thermal Scan

The thermal scan measures temperature. When there are disturbances to your nervous system along the spine, there are often temperature differences from side to side. This is due to inflammation and changes in blood flow. Our thermal scan is non-invasive and reveals the condition of your autonomic nervous system which controls the function of your organs, glands and circulatory system.

Surface EMG

Surface Electromyography measures the minute amounts of electrical energy in the muscles along your spine. Disruptions within the nervous system (subluxations) alter the function of your entire body, including the muscular system. As a result, your muscles can produce too much or too little electrical activity. We use this highly-accurate, non-invasive scan to document your progress. It’s more accurate than how you feel.
